Welcome to the Kenosha Choral Arts Society

The Kenosha Choral Arts Society, formerly the Carthage Masterworks Chorale, has been sharing music with the Kenosha/Racine community and beyond since 2005. The Society has collaborated with the Racine Symphony Orchestra to present major works such as the Bach Magnificat, the Mozart Requiem, and the Faure Requiem. For the 2011 fall season, our group was proud to combine forces with Alan Heatherington, the Kenosha Symphony, and the Chicago Master Singers to present “The Many Moods of Christmas” on Sunday, December 18, 2011.  Our Spring 2012 performance was a wonderful collaboration with David Schripsema’s Fine Arts at First Spring Concert featuring our choir joined with the Festival Orchestra performing Schubert’s glorious “Mass in G”.

Our ensemble welcomes choral enthusiasts of all backgrounds and musical interests. Specific audition requirements can be found here.

We rehearse on Monday nights, from 6:30 to 9:00 pm, at The Rhode Center for the Arts, 514 56th Street, Kenosha, WI. For more information about our rehearsal venue, please see here.

“I am supremely excited to be sharing my passion of music with my hometown! This choir is not just a group, but a community and family of singers of all ages and backgrounds…  If you have a love for choirs, singing or listening and are dedicated to supporting our mission, we will find a place for you to be involved in our efforts to bring music to the masses!!   I encourage any singer (preferably one who has some choral background) to send me an email and join us this season!”
